Mahrie Ohren, owner of The Garden Bar on 6th, spent two years living in England and while traveling found these upscale hors d’oeuvres to pair well with all types of wine and beer. Upon opening the restaurant in downtown Alexandria, she wanted to bring new life to the food industry and bring a little big city into our small town, while preserving the venue once known and loved as 6th Avenue Wine & Ale.
